LEARNING OUTCOMES: Talk about place and people
OBJECTIVE/S OF THE LESSON: At the end of the lesson, students will be able to identify social problems in their community and create a superhero to solve them.
LESSON DEVELOPMENT: Warm-up: apples-berries-potatoes stretches

Activity 1: Review the heroes lesson from last week.

Activity 2: Discussion. Ask students to think of social problems in Malaysia (avoid direct political responses). Make a chart on the board separating them into problems inside and outside the school. Students should copy this chart into their exercise books and be given a few minutes to think of ideas.

Inside: bullying, vandalism, smoking in the toilet, sleeping in class, late to class
Outside: illegal motor racing, open burning, gangsters, pick pockets

Activity 3: Students go into groups of three or four. Each group chooses a social problem and must create a superhero specially designed to solve their problem. They need a superhero name, powers, drawing, and to identity what the social problem is and why it is a problem.

Display drawing and ideas on manila card.

Students must also do a group presentation for the class.
Ex: Miss Clean-it-up-lady – deal with littering. She turns all the trash into candies and gives it to orphans.

*make sure students look for positive, non-violent solutions to their social problems. 
REFLECTION: Students participated throughout the lesson. Although there were some problems pertaining to vocabulary but students managed to explained the needed words to describe their answers. Teacher also helps in giving the needed word building. Teaching was fun with some activities by Cikgu James. Students enjoyed the lesson and some even reminding their friends “Stop talking too much” for too much active participation.

OBJECTIVE/S OF THE LESSON: At the end of the lesson, students will be able to identify the seven continents of the world and several famous heroes from each continent, naming their jobs, countries, and respective continents.
LESSON DEVELOPMENT: Activity 1 (10 – 15 minutes): Draw a Venn diagram on the board. Students should fill in adjectives comparing and contrasting heroes and celebrities. Discussion afterward.

Activity 2 (20 minutes): Teacher chooses a student to hold up a map of the world. Use the aide to ask students what the seven continents are. Ask them to name at least one country from each continent.

Activity 3 (20 minutes): Hand out heroes worksheets. Students should walk about the room, read the mini biographies of the hero, and record that person’s name, country, continent, and job. Afterward, have a group discussion, reviewing the information on the posters and worksheet.

REFLECTION: Students were able to do the given task. Although some of them were having difficulties in providing the necessary words in the first activity but Cikgu James and teacher managed to solve their problems. T&L done smoothly with 100% participations from students.

REFLEKSI: Pelajar menghasilkan corak jalinan dengan menggabungkan unsur flora dan fauna. Guru memberikan contoh seperti jalinan daun, kulit pokok dan juga corak pada burung. Pelajar bertanya soalan seperti "Lukis naga dapatkah cikgu?" Guru menerangkan bahawa hasil mereka mesti berpandukan kepada unsur alam walaupun tidak salah sekiranya mereka ingin menggunakan kreativiti mereka sendiri dengan melukis unsur fantasi yang tidak keterlaluan. Penghantaran hasil pelajar ditangguh ke minggu 11.

REFLECTION: Teacher asks students wether they've read the short story. Less than half raise their hands. Teacher divide them in groups and students take turns to read the whole story aloud. Students were able to identify the characters, setting as well as the themes. Teacher also write notes regarding the topic discussed.

REFLECTION: Students did a task on the topic. Teacher explains in BM to convey the instructions and the meanings of the sentences which was written in English. After markings, students were given a spelling quiz. Half of the students could spell the words given such as laughing, brown etc. Weak students were given another spelling involving 5 letters as well as their meanings.

LESSON DEVELOPMENT: (Level – 2) Activities: Students are given a set of questions on the board and they have to write the correct answers. Their friends will help them.

REFLECTION: Students learn about the format of formal letter. Learn new words such as swollen, sprained, pain killers. Then they were asked to complete their own letter. T&L as usual.

REFLECTION: Students learn to build sentences by making them competing among themselves. Students are divided into 3 groups and they have to write sentences based on the given words. Examples of words are dance, swim, mountain, waterfall and grandmother.
